Partnership with SK Hynix
Nvidia and SK Hynix, one of the world’s largest memory chip manufacturers, signed a multi-year technology partnership focused on developing next-generation memory solutions for AI data centres. The collaboration aims to enhance the performance and efficiency of AI computing systems.
SK Hynix stated that the partnership would help the company expand into emerging AI sectors such as Personal AI and Physical AI, while ensuring a stable supply of advanced memory semiconductors despite long development cycles.
SK Telecom’s AI Cloud Project
As part of the broader collaboration, SK Telecom announced plans to build a gigawatt-scale AI cloud infrastructure in South Korea using Nvidia’s cutting-edge technology. The first AI data centre under this initiative is expected to become operational in 2027.
The project is designed to support growing AI workloads and strengthen South Korea’s position as a regional AI hub.
Collaboration with Naver and Doosan
Nvidia also signed agreements with Naver, South Korea’s leading internet company, and Doosan Group, a major industrial conglomerate. Both companies will use Nvidia’s AI technologies to develop next-generation AI data centres.
