Indian Men’s Team Clinches U-18 Asia Cup Title

  • The Indian Men’s U-18 Hockey Team emerged as champions after defeating hosts Japan 4-1 in the final played at Kakamigahara, Japan.
  • India dominated the contest from the start, with Ashish Tani Purti producing a sensational hat-trick. He scored in the 2nd, 28th and 34th minutes, while captain Ketan Kushwaha added another goal in the 30th minute. Japan’s only goal came through Numada Gaku in the 52nd minute.
  • The victory showcased India’s superior teamwork, attacking strength and tactical discipline throughout the tournament.

Indian Women’s Team Wins Bronze Medal

  • The Indian Women’s U-18 Hockey Team finished its campaign on a high by defeating South Korea 3-0 in the bronze medal match.

Men’s U-18 Team (Gold Medal Winners)

  • ₹3 lakh for each player
  • ₹1.5 lakh for each support staff member

Women’s U-18 Team (Bronze Medal Winners)

  • ₹1 lakh for each player
  • ₹50,000 for each support staff member
