  • Vishnu Manohar, popularly known as India’s Maha Chef, has created history by preparing 1,111 kg of finger millet (ragi) pudding, setting a new world record at the Koya Krushi Kumbh festival in Gadchiroli, Maharashtra on February 6, 2026.
  • The record-breaking event took place with the objective of promoting locally grown millets and sustainable farming practices.
  • The massive pudding preparation highlighted the nutritional benefits of finger millet, a key coarse cereal cultivated by local farmers in the district.
  • The achievement was officially recognised by the India Book of Records, Asia Book of Records, and the World Record Book of India, marking a significant milestone in large-scale culinary accomplishments.

  • Popularly known as “India’s Maha Chef,” Vishnu Manohar is famous for large-scale culinary records.

  • His past achievements include:

    • Preparing 3,000 kg of khichdi in 2018.

    • Cooking 3,000–3,500 kg of chiwda in 2022.

Koya Krushi Kumbh 2026:

  • It’s 5-day agriculture exposition aimed at strengthening tribal cultivators, through modern technology, market access and value-added practices.
  • The event was held at the agriculture college campus at Sonepur on Chandrapur Road under the theme ‘Asmita Adivasichi, Samruddhi Shetichi: Gadchirolichi Navi Kranti’.

Who orgnise Koya Krushi Kumbh 2026?

  • The Krushi Kumbh is being jointly organised by the Agricultural Technology Management Agency (ATMA), Gadchiroli, and the state agriculture department.
  • It is envisaged as a comprehensive platform bringing together farmers, experts, policymakers, and agribusiness players to promote sustainable and diversified agriculture in the district.
