The Board of Directors of HDFC ERGO General Insurance has approved the appointment of Parthanil Ghosh as the Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer (MD & CEO) of the company.
The appointment will come into effect on April 16, 2026, subject to approval from the Insurance Regulatory and Development Authority of India (IRDAI) and other necessary regulatory clearances.
Successor to Anuj Tyagi
Parthanil Ghosh will succeed Anuj Tyagi, who currently serves as the MD and CEO of HDFC ERGO General Insurance.
Professional Background
Parthanil Ghosh joined HDFC ERGO General Insurance in 2016 following the merger with L&T General Insurance. Over the years, he has played an important role in the company’s strategic growth and operational development.
He has been serving as the Executive Director of the company since May 1, 2025.
