The 16th edition of the Joint Special Forces Exercise VAJRA PRAHAR between India and the United States has commenced in Himachal Pradesh and will continue until the 16th of next month.
The exercise is being conducted at the Special Forces Training School in Bakloh, Himachal Pradesh. The Indian Army is represented by 45 personnel from its Special Forces units. The United States contingent includes 12 personnel from the Green Berets of the United States Army Special Forces.
Exercise VAJRA PRAHAR aims to enhance military cooperation between India and the United States by improving interoperability, joint coordination, and the exchange of special operations tactics. The training programme focuses on strengthening the combined capabilities of both forces to conduct joint Special Forces operations, particularly in mountainous terrain.
The exercise is expected to further build mutual trust, operational synergy, and professional camaraderie between the Special Forces of both countries, thereby reinforcing the growing defence partnership between India and the United States.
